Accept What Is
Accept that we are stuck in traffic.
Accept that it is raining.
Accept that we are tired.
Accept that it is a cold day.
Accept that our body is injured and needs rehab.
Accept that we need to take it slow.
Accept that things are outside of our control.
Accept that we have emotions.
Accept that someone we want affection from is not reciprocating.
Accept that the future is uncertain.
Accept that others may not understand us.
Accept that the people we love are no longer here.
Accept that we are not perfect.
Accept that we are going to make mistakes.
Accept that not everyone is going to like us.
Accept that we have expectations.
Accept that our expectations are not met.
Accept that we didn’t get the promotion.
Accept that life is taking us in a different direction.
When we don’t accept, that is when anger, frustration, sadness occurs as our expectations do not match up with reality.
Let us see the world for what it is, not how we would like it to be. Let us work from a place of acceptance and work from the now. That is when we won’t be caught in the storm of emotions. We won’t be spending energy wishing things are different from the way they are. Only then we are able to see the situation for what it is and be open to all the possibilities and take actions that can impact the world and change our reality.
