How to Set Goals for 2021?

Hello! Thought I will share the 3 simple steps I took to set my goals for 2021. The first two steps are about self-reflection and the last step is the practical.

  1. Write a letter to yourself to close off 2020 - What were the major moments and emotions that you have experienced last year? What would you like to leave behind? It is important we can leave the old to make room for the new!

  2. Write another letter to yourself to start off 2021 - What are some of the things you would like to do or achieve this year? Why are these important to you?

  3. Pick one goal to start with and drill it down into a daily 2-min habit - For example my goal for this month is loving myself for who I am than what I do.  Sounds big, lofty goals and intangible right so that is why it is important to turn it into a daily habit. The science behind 2 minutes is that it is tiny enough that we will have the motivation to achieve it over a period of time. Therefore the daily habit I will practise for this goal is when I brush my teeth in the morning for 2 minutes, I will mentally say to myself "I am worthy. I don't need to panic to do more to impress anyone."
