David is the Young New Zealander of the Year 2018. He is the founder and CEO of LearnCoach, which provides learning support to secondary and tertiary students, inspiring them towards a better future.

In his job as a secondary school teacher, David Cameron, had seen many of his own students struggling. After receiving a poem, “Roses are red, Violets are blue, Dear Mr. Cameron, I don’t know what to do,” Dave decided to do something about it. LearnCoach was born. LearnCoach has a vision of making learning simple for all students. It grew from helping 150 students in 2012 to over 150,000 students per year in 2020. These students watch over 1 million tutorials online each year.
